About VIOLA EDU

A free AI-powered learning platform built by an Irvine family, for Irvine families.

Our Mission

Every student in Irvine deserves access to high-quality, personalized learning tools — regardless of their family's ability to pay for private tutoring. VIOLA EDU combines AI technology with real classroom experience to help students build confidence, master math concepts, and prepare for their academic future.

The Team

A
Andrew Hwang
Founder & Lead Developer
11th grader at Northwood High School. Started VIOLA EDU to help younger students in his community prepare for IUSD math placement tests and beyond. Manages platform development, SAT content creation, and student outreach.
B
Brenden Hwang
Content & Testing Lead
9th grader who went through IUSD placement himself. Uses firsthand experience to quality-test practice problems, review content accuracy, and ensure the platform reflects what students actually face.
C
Collin Hwang
Student Tester & Feedback
6th grader at Stonegate Elementary School. As an active daily user, Collin provides real student feedback on difficulty, UX, and content gaps — helping shape the platform from a learner's perspective.

Our Story

VIOLA EDU started in early 2026 when our family realized that many students in Irvine struggle with math placement tests and standardized exams — not because they lack ability, but because they lack access to structured practice and personalized feedback.

What began as a simple homework-checking tool for a few neighborhood kids has grown into a full learning platform with daily assignments, adaptive practice, SAT prep, AP course support, wrong-answer analysis, and AI-powered study tools.

We believe in learning by doing. Every feature on VIOLA EDU was built because a real student needed it — tested by real students, improved by real feedback.
